Martina, can you tell us about your background and how you got started in the yachting industry?
Absolutely! After finishing high school, I enrolled at the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split, Croatia. There, I focused on learning about Marine Technologies of Yachts and Marinas, which deepened my love for the sea and everything related to maritime life. My education laid a strong foundation for my career in the yachting industry.
After graduating, I started my professional journey as a Booking Agent with Croatia Yachting. This role allowed me to develop my skills in working with clients and gain valuable experience in organizing yacht charters. My ability to speak English and German was especially useful, helping me communicate effectively with our international clients.
Working at Croatia Yachting was pivotal for me. It not only strengthened my position in the industry but also sparked my passion for creating exceptional yacht experiences. Each interaction with clients and every charter I organized contributed to my understanding of what makes a voyage truly memorable. These experiences ultimately shaped the vision I bring to Allure Navis today.
How did the idea of Allure Navis come about?
The idea for Allure Navis grew out of my time in the charter world, where I saw firsthand the potential to redefine luxury yacht experiences. Through my interactions with clients and fellow agents, I recognized a distinct opportunity to offer something more than just a voyage – a meticulously crafted journey that caters to the unique desires of our discerning clientele.
I envisioned a company that would prioritize personalization in every aspect: from custom itineraries that reflect the varied tastes and preferences of our guests, to the smallest details of onboard amenities that enhance comfort and luxury. My goal was clear from the outset – to set a new standard in the industry by blending opulence with sustainability.

Why did you decide to co-found Allure Navis with Dina?
Dina and I were first colleagues in the same company, and it wasn't long before we became best friends. We share the same passion and love for the sea and this industry. So, it was basically the only logical next step for us to embark on this adventure together. Like in any partnership, there's often one person who handles the economic and financial aspects, and in our case, that's Dina.
What sets Dina apart is her talent for transforming all my ideas into reality, bringing to life the bespoke experiences that define Allure Navis. On the other hand my strengths lies in client relations, marketing, and social media, areas where I excel in fostering strong connections with our clients and promoting our brand's unique offerings.

What were some of the biggest challenges you faced when starting Allure Navis?
Launching Allure Navis had some challenges, like making our presence known in a market dominated by established names. Establishing our brand and getting recognized by clients as something new and refreshing was no small feat. We had to work hard to communicate our unique vision and the value we bring to the yachting industry. Building trust with clients and partners took time, and we had to consistently show our commitment to excellence and personalized service.
These challenges, however, fueled our determination to innovate and set ourselves apart. We focused on delivering unique, tailor-made experiences that stood out in the crowded market.

Setting clear boundaries and making time for activities that nurture my well-being, such as exercise, relaxation, and spending time with friends, are essential.
Moreover, having a strong support system from my family and closest friends makes a world of difference. Their encouragement and understanding help me navigate the demands of running Allure Navis while ensuring my family remains a top priority.
Delegating responsibilities to our capable team members and fostering a culture of trust allows me to step back when needed, confident that our operations are in good hands. This balanced approach enables me to approach challenges with clarity and energy, benefiting both my personal life and my role at Allure Navis.
